Tuner & RF Components Calibration
Tuner Calibration is the most important step before using the setup for complete measurements. Tuner calibration consists
of measuring the S-parameters of the tuner at a given number of positions for a fixed frequency using a Vector Network
Analyzer. The data measured at the calibration points is used during tuner operation to calculate the S-parameters at any
position of the tuner, not only the calibrated ones. Tuners are very reproducible and highly accurate mechanical devices, but
their absolute tuning accuracy depends directly on the quality of the calibration of the VNA. |
